Annual Pilgrimage Cancelled
Every year we look forward to our annual pilgrimage. This year is particularly significant in that it is the twentieth anniversary of the founding of our Holy Brotherhood. It was with great sadness and mixed feelings that we decided in mid-Sping to cancel it due to the ongoing Trapeza construction and the need for us to focus on completing this project. The good news is the Trapeza is moving forward through the efforts of our all-volunteer crew. Currently we are working on completing the electrical wiring so we can get it inspected and move on to insulating and sheet-rocking.
As always the monastery is grateful to our regular group of volunteers who have made all of this possible. May God bless them and their efforts on behalf of the monastery. God willing in August 2007 we will be able to celebrate and dine in our new Trapeza during the pilgrimage!
Our building efforts are far from over and much more needs to be done. Monetary donations are still needed to continue purchasing materials for the remainder of our building projects. And of course, please keep the monastery in your prayers!
