The Pilgrimage, which took place on the 12th, 13th and 14th of August, was well attended. The Russian Tall Ship, Pallada
Recently, twenty-nine tall ships from around the world anchored in Quartermaster Harbor near the Monastery. Thanks to a friend of the monastic community, Captain John Burke, the monks were ferried in a dinghy to the Russian tall ship, The Pallada, where they were the guests of the ships captain and crew. The training ship is 365 feet in length and has a crew of 150 cadets and 40 officers. The experience of being aboard such a grand ship for over two hours was memorable indeed. The smiling faces of so many fellow Orthodox Christians from Russia was inspiring, and the monks were asked to pose for numerous photographs with members of the crew.
